Rochester is struggling with high property taxes, a housing crisis, crime, and an education system that’s failing families. I’ve got a plan to turn things around. It’s time for change. Big, Bold and Unstoppable. Let’s make Rochester the best mid size city in the country! |
The American Dream is a powerful idea. It's the belief that with hard work and determination, you can overcome challenges, seize opportunities, and create a better future for you and your family. My life is a testament to that dream. I grew up in India with big aspirations and a drive to succeed. My journey took me across the globe, from studying business in France to building a career in IT in the United States. Along the way, I faced my share of challenges, struggling to make ends meet. I adapted to new countries, and started over time and again. Yet each step brought opportunities, growth, and the fulfillment of dreams I once thought impossible. Fourteen years ago, my wife and I chose Rochester as our home when she became a history professor at RIT. Together with our two children, we’ve built a life here rooted in community and love for this city. But the American Dream is only possible when foundational needs are met. We need stable housing, quality education, a safe environment, and opportunities to grow. These are not luxuries; they are necessities, and there are too many families in Rochester are struggling to access them. I’m committed to changing that. Every person deserves the chance to thrive. Now, I’m running for mayor to ensure that everyone in Rochester has the chance to pursue their own American Dream. I believe in a city where opportunity is accessible to everyone, where neighborhoods are safe, and where our local government truly listens and responds to the needs of its people. Together, we can tackle challenges, create opportunities, and build a stronger, more vibrant Rochester where dreams of every kind can thrive. My economic philosophy is simple but an impactful one: Hypergrowth market combined with a strong social safety net. Yes, they can co-exist and complement one another! Change is coming!
